Amanda:

"You're not a person who encourages friendship”

It wouldn't work, she said, they would risk what they had if they fell in love too. “

"So, there's only one real possibility left, namely that Harriet disappeared against her will. Somebody killed her and got rid of the body."

"I assume that something happened to Harriet here on the island”

“Twenty years […]. That's how long it had been. As far as he was concerned they could go on sleeping together for another two decades. At least.”

Bri:
"Thisis the way it is – Erika is my best friend. She and I have been together offand on for twenty years. But we've never been a couple and we never get in theway of each other's romances."

"You'vebeen in my computer, Fröken Salander. You're a fucking hacker."

"...and in al likelihood it was someone from the family---killed Harriet and hid the body."
"Which means that either Harriet did it herself, and she was still alive at that point, or else that someone was lying to you..."
"...if that's the way it happened, we're talking about a cold-blooded bastard."
"Precisely. On my birthday every damn year, Do you know how that feels? It's directed at me, precisely as if the murder wants to torture me..."
"He let you run free, is that it? I wonder how he got away with it."
Ro-
Today we talked about the main character Lisabeth and how she came into the story. The book is still very boring and not much is going on. All we know about her is she is mysterious and has an unknown past. I’m assuming as we read on in the story we will learn more about Lizabeth and her past.

“a swedish sucess story”
“Screw the terminology. Write whatever the hell you want buy I’m your anonymous source. Are we agreed?”
Amanda-
We started reading The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo recently. We discovered that it is not very easy to follow. A lot of it talks about business so it is some what confusing. We have been told that it gets very interesting towards the end. I think if we stick to it, we will enjoy it very much.
Ro-
describe the main characters in your text. Mikael Blomkvist is the main character so far in the book. he is not the main character through out the entire book but for now he is the main character that exists in the book. there is not a lot to say about him except he is a 42 year old detective and he is just like any other normal guy.
What makes them interesting? Mikael is a detective but so far he is not very dedicated to his job as much as everyone else is. he sometimes doesn't take it as seriously as everyone else does
What is their story or background? They didn't say much about his background because he is not the overall main character. he is only the main character in the beginning of the book and then the main character switches to someone else
Why are you drawn to them? honestly i am not drawn to this character at all and i find him kind of boring. So far the book is really boring but i have been hearing that it gets better as you read on so i'm hoping the change of characters will also change the mood of the book to make it more interesting for me to read are there any characters that you just cannot stand? we are not that far into the book so so far i have nothing against any of th
